UCMT Family of Schools
The UCMT Family of Schools provide instruction in Massage Therapy to students in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah. The schools are individually known as Arizona School of Massage, Denver School of Massage, Nevada Schools of Massage, and Utah College of Massage Therapy. The school specializing in only training massage therapists, as they have done for the past 18 years. Nationally Accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET). In addition the UCMT Family of Schools are nationally accredited and eligible to participate in Federal Title IV Student Financial Assistance programs. This allows students to apply for a myriad of financial aid offerings which include Federal Pell Grant, Student Loans, Veterans Benefits, and UCMT's Career Financial Services Plan. The schools also provide housing assistance helping students find or share housing during the instruction periods. In 2003, the UCMT Family of Schools' graduated over 1,650 students with an overall 96% placement rate. The career services department helps students and graduates find full or part time employment in the field of massage therapy and also will help with getting graduates started in setting up a private massage therapy practices. Students can complete the Professional Massage Therapy program in as little as 7 months, at any of the seven campus locations.
Training Programs
Professional Massage Therapy: The Professional Massage Therapy Program trains students to become massage therapists in as little as seven months. The training program exceeds standards set by national certification, and by most state and municipal governments for licensing. The Professional Massage Therapy Program teaches the art and science of massage therapy, while also teaching sound business practices which prepare students for success in the marketplace. During the program students learn light energy work as well as structural bodywork modalities, Eastern as well as Western theory and technique, and how to treat specific pain and dysfunction as well as a holistic approach to health and healing.
