education students receive from The Salter School is designed to prepare them for an exciting career or enhance your opportunities within their existing career field through enhanced skills. At The Salter School, they offer classroom learning as well as practical, on-the-job training, individualized career counseling and lifetime job placement services. Students of The Salter School benefit from a challenging, intensive program of study that leads to satisfying business and professional careers. A carefully selected staff of instructors, through their specialized training, wide experience and broad educational and civic interests, are especially qualified to handle their particular subjects according to methods and standards of modern education. Financial aid for those students who qualify is available at The Salter School. Each year funds are allocated to The Salter School through a variety of federally sponsored grant and loan programs. This aid enables students who need assistance to meet the cost of tuition. Eligibility for aid and the amount is determined by a needs formula. Each case is different. The school makes an evaluation of the individual with the assistance of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Once the extent of eligibility and need is determined, funds are awarded confidentially and impartially. The school participates in many types of financial aid programs. The financial aid office meets personally with each student to arrange a financial aid package which is most appropriate for his or her situation. The Career Services Department of The Salter School assists students and alumni in all aspects of their job search. The high standard of professional training offered by The Salter School for over 65 years has earned an outstanding reputation for providing qualified personnel. The Career Services Department has implemented a Career Directions Seminar, which provides a realistic approach to searching for employment. In addition, students are scheduled for personalized sessions to finalize their job search tools and talk about their individual needs concerning employment.
