Samra University of Oriental Medicine is located in Los Angeles, California. Samra University is a private non-profit corporation, is the oldest school of Oriental Medicine in the United States. In 1979, they became the first school of Oriental Medicine to receive Full Institutional Approval by the California State Department of Education. The Master of Oriental Medicine degree program offered by Samra University of Oriental Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Schools of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Student learn acupuncture, Chinese herbology, Chinese orthopedic massage and nutrition in the treatment of all forms of disease in Samra’s comprehensive 36-month course of study, while preparing for the California and National Acupuncture Board licensing exams. Prospective student must have completed 60 semester/90 quarter college units before enrolling at Samra University of Oriental Medicine. Financial aid and I-20 available. Classes start in January, April, July and October and are offered in English, Chinese and Korean.
