Lehigh Valley College, formerly Allentown Business School was founded in 1869 and started to train students for employment in the local community. The ongoing philosophy of providing career training to individuals has remained the same for the past 133 years. Of course, the programs have changed to reflect society's needs, but the institution has always been committed to offering industry current curricula that offer excellent employment opportunities. The Allentown Business School now occupies two buildings at its present site located at 1501 Lehigh Street in Allentown. (A total of 63,000 square feet). The Main Campus contains 11 classrooms, eight networked computer laboratories, a medical lab, a learning resource center equipped with personal computers and Internet access for student use, a student lounge area, a bookstore, and offices for faculty, financial aid and administration. The South Campus contains six classrooms, two art studios, three Mac labs, six PC labs, a photo and video studio, student lounge, and faculty and administrative offices. Lehigh Valley College, a recognized leader in continuing education, offers career-focused programs in Business Management and Marketing, Early Childhood Education, Medical Assisting, Visual Communications, Criminal Justice, Fashion Merchandising, Massage Therapy, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Accounting, Paralegal, IT and more.
