L'École Culinaire uses a unique curricular structure based on a 10-week educational phase rather than on traditional college semesters or quarters. Students take only one major course during each phase, which allows them to concentrate their learning efforts and get the most from the education. L'École Culinaire is a new kind of culinary education located in a new, state-of-the-art campus in the St. Louis area, L’École Culinaire offers a one-of-a-kind educational opportunity for the aspiring, career-minded chef. Students experience hands-on learning and career-based instruction with professionals in the St. Louis culinary industry at L'École Culinaire. This unique campus features a student-run white linen restaurant and pastry shop, state-of-the-art classrooms and kitchens, and organic herb gardens. along with eight-week internships in St. Louis’ finest restaurants, the Associate Degree Program offers students a week-long study tour of France. They can also apply real world training in culinary sciences with courses in food distribution and world hunger, plus community service opportunities in area food pantries and soup kitchens. L’École Culinaire prepares students for a career in the culinary industry by offering Associate Degrees in Culinary Arts or a diploma in Culinary Essentials. To assure that they receive the highest quality educational experience, L'École Culinaire features career placement assistance for all of its graduates and financial aid for those who qualify.
