Everest Institute first opened its doors in 1977 as the Georgia Medical Employment Preparatory Center. The goal of the institute was to evolve into a primary training school for medical personnel in the Atlanta, Georgia area. The school was acquired by Mr. Dominic J. Dean, Mr. Arthur Cuff, and Ms. Linda Lippmann-Cuff in 1986. The college subsequently became Everest Institute and was expanded to three campuses, including the Marietta, Jonesboro and downtown Atlanta locations. Everest Institute offers programs such as massage therapy, medical billing / medical coding, medical assistant, dental assisting, dialysis technician, medical administrative assistant, patient care technician, pharmacy technician and surgical technician. Financial aid will help you pay for more than just school and is given to students to help students pay for everything they’ll need to complete their education. This includes: Room & Board, Transportation, School Books and Supplies, Basic Living Expenses, and your Tuition. This school participates in a variety of financial aid programs for students that qualify, including student loans, grants, and scholarships. Everest Institute maintains an active placement service to assist graduates in locating entry-level, educationally related career opportunities.
