This new degree program (Game Art Design) is only offered at a few select schools. In this program students concentrate on learning the artistic side of game design, instead of computer programming or mathematical modeling. Students begin the degree by learning the basics of art and graphic design, and then they move on to learning the art of game design. Subjects covered in the advanced stage of this degree include the design of game play, character development, and game environment creation Graduates with this degree will find entry-level positions in the game industry,, 2D conceptual artist, 3D character builder, 3D object modeler, interactivity designer, and background artist When they graduate with a degree in Game Art Design there education
does not end there. These professionals will continue to take
classes and may earn a masters degree in game art design or just
take some classes in game art design.
