Emphasis is placed on law and ethics, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and principles of therapeutic massage. Therapeutic modalities as adjuncts to Swedish Massage, connective tissue massage, Shiatsu, chair massage, reflexology, sports massage, and spa therapy techniques.
Medical Administration: The Computerized Medical Office Administrator program is designed to prepare the adult learner to meet the requirements for employment in medical offices, clinics, hospitals, and other health care environments requiring skills in medical insurance billing and coding, business technology, and computer applications. Emphasis is placed on medical terminology, medical insurance, computer applications, personnel management, human relations, medical law and ethics, and medical office administration. The clinical aspect of the program includes the measurement of vital signs and the application of universal precautions.
Medical Assisting: The Medical Assisting program is designed to prepare adult learners to meet the requirements for employment in medical offices, clinics, hospitals, and other health care environments requiring skills in medical office procedures and clinical assisting.
