Baran Institute of Technology is located in Windsor, Connecticut. The school was founded in 1979 and since it's' inception it has emphasized "hands-on" training. The students work on training projects which are "real life" situations to give the students training and knowledge which is applicable to the real world. The Baran Institute of Technology offers training programs in Autobody Technician, Automotive Technician, Diesel Technician, HVAC Technician, and Welding Technician. Baran Institute of Technology has a full-time Financial Aid Department available to assist students who qualify with their financial needs. Our Financial Aid Advisors will assist each applicant in determining the amount and type of financial aid available. While Baran Institute does not own or maintain student housing, we do have the ability to accommodate out-of-state students. Training Programs

Autobody Technology: Baran Institute of Technology's Autobody Technology Program leads students through all the aspects of the Autobody Industry. Baran students are involved from factory UMS frame straightening to PPG painting programs. Students work on and repair all types of live vehicles. Guided by the experts, students obtain the unbelievable. Baran students also have the opportunity to stay on for an extra module to complete the “Custom Plus” program. Take your education to the extreme level!

Automotive Technology: Baran Institute of Technology's ASE Master Certified Automotive Training brings today's technology to the classroom. In training students will learn from modern Automotive Technology Facility. Baran Students train on all aspects of the vehicle from fuels to engine rebuilding. While others train on mock-ups and simulators, Baran students train on "live" problem vehicles for proven results that show in today's dealerships.

Commercial Drivers License (CDL):Train for a career as a commercial driver. Get the training you need to get your CDL in just a short time. Instruction prepares students to both pass the CDL test and for a successful career as a commercial truck driver. Classes start frequently for this program.

Diesel Technology: Baran Institute of Technology Diesel Technology Program ASE Master Certified Training prepares students for a career in Diesel Technology. Baran's students are involved in all aspects of the diesel industry -- from hydraulics to major overhauls on today's leaders like Cummins, Mack, Detroit and CAT. Put your hands and mind to work in one of the largest growing industries.

Electrician: Baran Institute of Technology Electrician Program prepares students for a successful career working as and electrician. Learn the skills you need to succeed and to get started.

HVAC: If you have the right training, Climate control is a hot field. Baran's HVAC Technology Program training takes students through everything from electrical to plumbing to trouble shooting today's commercial and domestic heating refrigeration/cooling units. Fire up your future with an education in HVAC.

Motorcycle Technology: Baran Institute of Technology Motorcycle Technology Program Master Certified Training prepares students for a career in Motorcycle Technology. Baran's students are involved in all aspects of the Motorcycle industry -- from hydraulics to major overhauls on today's leaders like Honda, Yamaha, Polaris and more. Put your hands and mind to work in one of the largest growing industries.

Welding Technology: The Welding Technology Program is a 68 quarter-credit -hour program. The majority of the course time is spent working with welding equipment and welding in the vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. Practical applications of welding, namely, oxyacetylene, metallic arc, tungsten inert gas (TIG) and metal inert gas (MIG) are included in the program. Supporting classroom theory is given in welding theory, blueprint reading, and basic shop math, and gas welding.
